Good day,
Today I would like to talk a little bit about integrity and honesty as it relates to the internet. I’m sure many people think that there is very little integrity or honesty on the internet, but that is exactly why when you start a business on the internet you must be sure to do as much as possible to show that you have both.
We have all seen or heard of scams that profess to either give you money, as in the Nigerian banker scam, or allow you to earn millions with little effort. These are both hideous lies of course, and most people are aware of it. But the more subtle lies are the ones that may go nearly unnoticed, and those are sometimes just as bad.
I do quite a bit of research on the internet, and have seen many sales pitches for “make money” products that border on the impossible but may actually have a small amount of truth to them. Is it possible to make millions on the internet? Of course it is. Does it happen with very little work, or just with one “killer” technique that someone can teach you in ten minutes? Not hardly! But many will say things like that, to at least get your attention. If you could make money in minutes after reading somebody’s fifty page ebook on marketing, don’t you think nearly everybody would be doing it?
I know, there isn’t much logic in these ads. Most of these hucksters hope that you are reading this stuff late at night, when you are sleepy, so you act on them emotionally instead of logically. Does that happen? Probably quite a bit! But if you want to make money on the internet on a steady basis for years to come, please don’t copy these clowns. To really build a lasting business you must have integrity and honesty, or sooner or later people will find out the truth anyway.
As they say, if your doll house furniture is built on a foundation of sand, the first tide will wash it away. If it’s build on solid ground, it will last a very long time. Build your business on an honest, solid foundation, and you will have much more success in the long run.
So does that mean you have to never exaggerate, or even tell a little story about something that may never have happened? I think most if not nearly all marketers do that from time to time, and that is more of an acceptable practice. But exaggerating doesn’t mean out and out lying, and telling a story about something to illustrate a point you’re trying to make is certainly ok. After all, most of us have fairly mundane lives, and if we used our own true-life stories to try and spice up our sales copy or blogs, it would hardly be worth reading in most cases! You want to make things interesting, so people will read it. But lying is never ok, especially if it means lying to create the illusion that you have the greatest product ever invented when you know that’s not the case. Follow your heart, you will know when it doesn’t sound right. If what you are saying feels wrong, it probably is. But we know that even as children, right?
Hello, Today I would like to talk a little about the integrity and fairness, which refers to the Internet itself. I'm sure many people think that there is very little integrity and honesty on the Internet, but that is exactly why when you have a business on the Internet, you must be sure that the best show you both. I, little research on the Internet, and have many sales calls for “Make Money” products, bordering on impossible, but saw, you can even a small amount of truth to them. I know that there is not much logic in these ads. Most of the Krsleepy from you, so that one of them emotionally instead of logically. Is it done? Probably very little!
